"Ok, what do you wish for daddy to do the most?" Bart smiled lightly, trying to cheer his daughter up.
"For you to die a slow, painful death." Sophie said, with a low mellow tone. She didn't have a care in the world for her father. Not only did he ruin her only chance to meet her idol, Amy Lee, that he also screwed up her entire ninth birthday.
For him, he felt like he did nothing wrong. He was trying to be a decent father but i guess that didn't turn out quite well for him.
"Look, Sophie, I'm sorry. I've known I have said that about fifty times already but, this time, I mean it." His voice quivered.
"This time?! Oh, then forget it dad! You have treated me like crap for many years now! I am sick of it!" She started to yell as Bart's pupils shrunk. " I'm never EVER going to forgive you!" She struck up the middle finger and stomped into the second floor bathroom.
*later at night*
"She's pissed at me Kase. I don't know what I did wrong to make her so pissed at me." Bart fiddled around with his fingers.
"Well, you did ruin her birthday party by becoming a drunken ass. Also you have destroyed her only chance at meeting her idol. I can really see why she hates you." She rolled her eyes and laid her head onto the pillow.
"Oh," He lowered his head and sunk down into the bed. "How do I make it up to her? I've tried everything."
"I don't know. She's very hard to reason with." She told him. She sat up and scooted closer to him. "She can hold a grudge for a while."
Bart wrapped his arm around her and frowned. "Yeah," He sighed," I just want her to love me again." Tears formed in his eyes but he held them back.
Kasey sadly smiled at him, "Aw,hun, don't cry." She kissed his cheek and placed her head along his chest. " You'll always have me."
He kissed her forehead, "yep, that's true," he sighed again,"I love you."
She smiled weak, half asleep. "I love you too..." She intertwined her fingers with his and shut her eyes.
Bart rubbed her head as she slept. "Kasey,I'm going to get her to love me again, now matter what,"
Kasey just snored softly. Her foot twitched, rubbing against his.
His face lightened, as if a light bulb has just turned on in his pea-sized brain. "And I just found an idea that might just make her love me again, involving some things from our past and you."
"That's nice...No no onions." She mumbled in her sleep. Must've been dreaming of some kind of sandwich.
Bart laughed quietly to himself and turned off the bedroom lights.
